Bryan Adams Bryan Adams, (born 5 November 1959) is a Canadian singer, guitarist and songwriter. Adams is a Member of the Order of Canada and the Order of British Columbia for his contribution to popular music. In 1998 he was promoted to an Officer of the Order of Canada for his philanthropic work. Squamish Nation The Squamish First Nation are a major Salishan-speaking people of southwestern British Columbia. Their main reserves are near the town of Squamish, British Columbia and at the mouths of the Capilano River, Mosquito Creek , and Seymour Creek in the Burrard Inlet in North Vancouver, British Columbia. Both Squamish and Lil'wat are co-hosts of the 2010 Olympic Games. "Squamish" is the modern name for the Skwxwu7mesh-ulh people. More Info

Steveston Village Steveston village was a historic salmon canning centre at the mouth of the south arm of the Fraser River. It is located on the southwest tip of Lulu island, the large majority of which is within the boundaries of the city of Richmond. The village is named for Manoah Steves, who arrived with his family in 1878. Steves' son Herbert actually developed the townsite, which became Steveston in 1889. Salmon canning began on the river in 1871; by the 1890s there were 45 canneries, about half at Steveston. More Info
